What are the thumbs up or down symbols to the left of the thread subject? and, the "x"s by the polls. What are the rules or whatever on how to vote on those polls. I'm just curious about that column and what the symbols mean. Sorry, I'm new!

The thumbs up's and thumbs down's represent the thread starters opinion about the thread. It's just a regular thread, but with little icons indicated by their feelings.
