Hey Congrats~!!
aww, I just love ducks. Do you think that later on in Nibbles' life that she would ever be a mother?
Yes we will eat the eggs. She will lay one a day for 10-12 days then rest a while and start over. Muscovy ducks are bred as layers. I would hate to waste them. I know what she eats so they should be very healthy eggs. It's ok there are no babies in them they are just eggs. This first one is smaller than what they will be as shse gets older but we couldn't be more proud of her.
Nibbles
No she is single and only shares her nest with a stuffed duck. No men ducks in her future.
Nibbles
we have egg #2
Nibbles
How exciting!Duck eggs are yummy, I hear.

Nibbles is up to 4 eggs now. We don't have a mated pair so they are all infertile but she loves them all the same. After she gets her day going and walks off of thit I take it and put it away. Maybe if my cousin needs a setter for her chickens I'll let her take a vacation and go and be a set nurse and hatch some chickens.
Nibbles
that would be cute.
