I was trying to think…Is there such a way of a right / successful way to leave PT or any other on-line community, without upsetting people?

I know a big part of the problem is why you are leaving?

Leaving as you have lost interest…I suppose the most successful way to leave would be to slowly post less and less and if you had no GOOD friends to chase you, you would fade away in time.

Leaving on very bad terms. Well if everyone hated you, stopping posts would work. As PT would sigh with relief and never chase you.

Leaving for unspecified reason…Tricky. If you left would you owe Pet Talk an explanation or just the people you liked and regard as friends. Or is it up to you ???

Leaving on good terms…Maybe this would work, if you explained why you were leaving maybe not.

I have seen people been upset because PT people have wanted a break and either posted OR not posted their intention to have a break.


So I ask the floor, what do you guys think…..Remember I want calm responses and NO PAST PT NAMES
