    Dylan's Story

I started reading PT last summer. I remember starting a thread about orange cats because of their personalities and because the only cat in my life who ever *chose* me as his own person was my RB Bert, an orange male. I am always so drawn to orange cats and quickly had favorites here too numerous to mention - all ORANGE. Well I mentioned this little fact in a post and was bombarded with *hints* and reasons why I needed my very own orange male. (Of course I had already been combing petfinders!!) I visited three of the local no-kill shelters but would you believe not one orange?? I finally found one in a nearby town and called about him, but by some twist, he was adopted from under me. That was Sammy. Then I saw a kitty named "Dyllan" in a shelter about an hour away and called about him. They told me he was a wonderfully friendly kitty, but not attractive to people because he was "a little hefty". We made the drive and met this gorgeous creature with green eyes!! He kept staring at my face He let me hug him. He lay in my arms like a baby! I did not find him fat, I found him cuddly. Who could resist this guy? We dropped one "L" from his name to fit my poet theme and I cannot imagine NOT having this huge gentle creature around. I wish I could capture his beautiful face on camera, and record his unusual melodious meow! He has such funny habits like scooping water or milk into his paw to drink, and hiding his toys in his foodbowl. He is eternally patient with the pesky twins who love to chase his tail. He is always polite if they take away his toy or chase him from his favorite spot. He sneaks in for love when nobody is around.

    I LOVE my Dylan!!

Deb, I have to agree with you, there really is something very special about Orangies. Now don't get me wrong, I love each and every one of my babies, but my Abner just has something special about him. I had Tobias for a very short time and he too had that specialness to him.

Dylan you are right up there with my favorite PT Orangies. You are so very handsome, and very, very special.

Consider adopting a special needs pet, they deserve a chance too!

Well Dylan to not be absolutely in love with you would be the same as not loving my Peanut Butter. You two boys could be twins with looks and personality! I love your sweet face and that adorable belly!!! I'm so glad that you have made your meowmie so happy. What could be better than a gorgeous rescued, well loved, happy kitty, and a very happy adoring meowmy who can't get enough of her new boy?
    I can't think of a thing!

Sirrahbed I don't remember any *hints*. I remember a full out chant going on!!! Aren't you glad we are so pushy??
