    Nipo! *PICS*

I know I haven’t shared nearly enough photos of my beautiful kitty Nipo with Pet Talk! I’ve been pretty trigger happy over this Christmas break and I hope this thread can help make up for lost time!
(Another thread about Nipo including the story of how she came to be part of our family: http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/showthre...threadid=26341)

When Tigger came to visit (see thread: http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthre...threadid=40832 ) Nipo got booted from her usual stomping grounds in the living room. She was not easily relocated however and on many occasions would fearlessly jump over the baby gate and dive under the nearest furniture and away from that darn D-O-G. (Every time she completed this daring maneuver I would have a near heart attack, as I really didn’t know how Tigger would react to her!) After a while she realized that her efforts were hardly worth it and was happy sitting on her little perch in the kitchen. We were very glad to have her rediscover this piece of kitty furniture, which she seemed to have all but ignored since the move, despite our efforts to put it in various locations. I like having her out in the open rather than always hiding under endtables, couches and beds. She really is becoming friendlier in her old age and a little easier to photograph (although she doesn’t exactly enjoy it!) So I’m including some Nipo pictures (failures and successes) in the next few posts...

    Enjoying her rediscovered perch….

"Ack, the flash is too bright!" ( I love her *adorable* striped pawsies! )

    A purrrfect fit…

    (More in the next post...)

My father is currently undergoing some chemotherapy treatments for leukemia and it has become very clear to my family that Nipo knows he is sick. Although my Dad has grown closer to Nipo over the years, since his retirement it has become very clear that she favors him most of all. She sits near his recliner or office chair depending on where he is and will guard his papers or rub up against his legs to show her affection. However, the majority of her day is spent snoozing near him in various, adorable positions.

Sleeping near his recliner… (annoyed that I dare bother her)

    A perfect ball…

Here she is guarding my Dad’s newspaper…

When she’s not at my Daddy’s side she can often be found playing in between the blinds!

Here are a few shots that were foiled one way or another....

    "Why should I cooperate?"

    Wild Child!

    "Haha, you missed me!"

    Nipo’s artistic side…

    Nipo in watercolor…

    Nipo as a sketch…

Ok, that’s all the pictures I have for now!

I hope you enjoyed seeing more pictures of the queen of my heart…MISS NIPO!

Awwwwww!!! What a sweet baby girl!!

Not only is she cute physically - love her markings - but she is a sweet girl to be there for your dad. I want to come over there and give her a kiss on that gorgeous head of hers.
