    Chester has a rash :(

Poor little Chester has a rash all over the insides and backs of his back legs. I've been at my sister's house taking care of her kids (she had a hysterectomy) and Michael has been here with our furkids.

He dressed up our bed with our new comforter today without washing it and Chester spent the day curled up on the pillows which are covered in the unwashed shams. I'm assuming that's where this rash came from.

Poor baby has to wear his Bite Not cat collar and his boo boos are covered in Neosporin. He's ok with it though. He's fairly happy go lucky about the Bite Not collar.

Here he is in his collar

Oh! poor Chester, his skin looks so painfull.
I hope he is feeling better and his rash clears up soon.
That is kind of scary getting a rash from a new unwashed
comforter. Your post just stopped me from having
second thoughts about not washing my new stuff first.

    Hugs karen

You know Karen, about 6 years ago I got a horrible rash from wearing a pair of jeans that I didn't wash first. Waist to ankle. Ever since that I always wash everything. It was VERY painful and I just hope that Ches doesn't feel half as bad as I did.

He seems to be ok and he's not even trying to lick it, so I took his Bite Not off and gave him a vegetable bone.

Ouch! I hope he will get better soon. I have very sensative skin and have had serious skin condition before, so I know how not fun it can be. Take Care!

Well it was worse this morning when we got up, so off to the vet we went. He got antibiotics (again) and ointment (again) and a nice treat and lots of loving from the staff (again).

Not sure what it was caused by, but I sure hope this $65 clears it up. *sigh* God really knew this little dog needed me. A lot of people wouldn't have forked out as much dough as we have for our Million Dollar Baby!

    Oh! dear.
I feel so bad for chester.
I hope the antibiotics and ointment work
and the culprit was the comforter.
Other wise you could be going through this all
    over again.

I am getting itchy just thinking about him.

Ouch! Poor Chester! That looks painful, but I'm glad you got to see the vet and hopefully he is on the road to recovery. I never would have even made the connection in my mind with the comforter and the rash. I would have probably blamed it on something outside and he would have never gotten better! Another lesson learned from reading Pet Talk!

Just wondering how Chester is feeling?
I hope the antibiotics are working and he is back to his usual self again soon.

I will keep the lil fella in my thoughts. Get well soon Chester.

I do hope that the antibiotics work and Chester get over his rash very quickly. It's so upseting to see our friends in pain...

Bless his little heart and yours. He and Max have so many allergy problems. Sometimes I think their sores and rashes bother us almost as much (if not more) than they do them.

Give him a hug for me. He's such a sweetie!
