Wrote this for my grandpa

I actually wrote it a few years back for my grandpa and it meant a lot to him. He cried when he read it, and it was the only time I had ever seen him cry. He passed away this past fall in October. I sure miss him terribly.

In the Eyes of my Grandfather

In the Eyes of my Grandfather,
his faith in me lies.

In the Eyes of my Grandfather,
his pride never dies.

In the Eyes of my Grandfather,
his love softly comforts.

In the Eyes of my Grandfather,
his confidence asserts.

In the Eyes of my Grandfather,
his depth strengthens me.

In the Eyes of my Grandfather,
his acceptance sets me free.
