    Tubby....I said wait!

Every morning I give T & P their meds. Afterwords, for being good and not biting my fingers off, they get some canned cat food as a treat. I always give Peanut hers first (meds then treat) and still Tubby is such a pig that his is gone long before hers. I have to stand there and wait until she's done, or Tubby would shove her away as soon as his was gone. She's such a putzy eater, and he's a regular vacuum cleaner.....

So here's Tubby's version of waiting and letting her finish. Nothing like a little hovering....

And a second later he decides to make his move. Tubby....I said wait!

It's so funny though, because when he's being good and actually waiting, the second she stands up and starts walking away he practically attacks the plate - even though her plate is usually licked cleaner than he licks his.

ROFLMAO!!! I have this going on every night at my house. Speckles is such a pig that she will wait until Max starts to walk away from his dish, then dives in to clean up the bowl. 5 min later Max is wanting another helping.....

    Too funny!!!

If he waits it will be all gone.

I do not have that much of a problem with my two. I have however seen little Joey move big fat Bob away from wet food before. That is a sight.

    That is just toooooo funny.

It is the same site in our house, except Mystic is the piggy while Smokey is the pookey eater, however, Mystic leaves all kinds of crumbs and Smokey will go back over the entire area and "clean up" what Mystic has left.

How cute!! I love your flooring! We have the Pergo and we love it!
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers

Poor girlie... she has learned to be prim and proper while he's a typical guy - does he belch afterwards and tuck his paw under his belt while holding the remote?

Maybe we should send him to a polishing class... but his idea of polishing is polishing off a plate of food!!!

Oh Tubby, still you're the perfect gentleman...

I've once seen a Garfield cartoon, where that ole orangie tried to suck a chicken through a drinkingstraw (darn...I hope this is the right word!?!)...maybe that would be more convienent for Tubby as well...so he could stay away from Peanut but still get her food...

That's what I tell her! But of course, she is much too ladylike to resort to such tactics. She just lets him barge in then gives me the sorrowful "Mom, look what Tubby's doing" look. And sometimes she'll just walk away in disgust - which I can also relate to.

bisi.cat, yes a straw would be just the thing for Tubby. That way she wouldn't scared off by him barging his way in.
