    Pictures From The Cat Show!!!

Hi everyone. AmberLee,RedHedd, and I went to a Cat Show today and we all had a great time. Here are some of the better pics that I took.

Here's a red American Curl and his name is Robert Redcurl. I voted for him for the people's choice award. He was a little shy but very gorgeous.

Here's a female American Curl. She's only 6 months old and very tiny.

Here's a very fluffy orange Persian.

Here's another pic of him. Can you say fluffy?

Here's a very large gorgeous Maine Coon. I think he weighs about 20lbs.

Here he is again. He was a little shy and seemed to prefer his cage to being outside.

    More pics coming up.

More Maine Coon pics. Can you tell I like this breed?

Here's a gorgeous white Maine Coon. I think his name was Moony. Just look at that bushy tail.

Here's a young marbeled Maine Coon.

Here he's going for the big stretch.

Here's a very scared young male Maine Coon. Look at that tail between his legs.

    More pics coming up.

Here's a young red female Maine Coon. RedHedd voted for her for the people's choice award.

Here she is again. I think that she kind of looks like a fox in this pic. I love her bushy tail.

Here are the crazy cat ladies. Me, RedHedd, and AmberLee.

    Oh no!!! A close up!!!

That's all the pics. I hope you enjoyed them.

I've never seen an American Curled before...are the whiskers curled, too?!
Doesn't it bother the cats then?!
Robert Redcurl looks so sweet, what a beautiful coloring he has... I have to look for them in a cat book...

    Thanks for sharing the pictures!!!

    Great photos!
Did they allow you to take flash photos?
I didn't take any photos at the Cat Show I went to yesterday because I wasn't sure if they allowed it and I didn't see anyone else taking photos. (It was my first cat show)
I also saw a huge Maine Coon Cat (23 pounds!) and I was surprised to see that so many of the show cats had flabbier bellies than my own cat!
It was fun to see so many different breeds but it was nice to go home to my own cat who is just perfect to me!
It was also fun to meet with a couple of other Pet Talkers.
    RIP sweet Samantha

    Great pics!!

I love the Maine Coons and the white one looks just like Ripley's mother. I haven't seen a solid white one since her almost 12 years ago.

I also love the pics of you three.

Great pics! I would have to say my favorite is the orange Persian(my favorite breed). I only went to a cat show once, I really want to go again. All the cats there are just gorgeous.

KAK! your pictures are terrific! I must say I did have camera envy as my digicam is so slow, clunky and lacking in features. You got some great close-ups especially of that large fluffy orange persian (we were standing at the rear of the ring).

I'm glad you got a few of the red Maine Coon and Robert Redcurl - he was my second choice for the People's Choice cat. I didn't notice if their whiskers or eyebrows were curled too but he sure was a handsome cat! As for this one:

We all commented that we couldn't wait to see what RICHARD would have to say about this pic

From looking at my pics it seems we took pictures of the same cats - I have a whole series of Moony's tail

After seeing all those beautifully groomed cats, I came home and brushed my two very thoroughly. Mishi was tolerant and didn't need much. Mitzi wasn't quite as happy as I had a bit of de-matting to do. That new tool I bought works wonderfully and her fur feels so much nicer today - so soft and fluffy! The show inspired me to groom them even more often - we'll see how long that lasts

I will try to post a few hopefully today, but today's my last day of vacation before going back to work. I'm de-Christmasing my apartment and installing a new printer - a busy day ahead of me!

Yes they did. All of mine are flash photos. There was one woman though who yelled at RedHedd for taking a pic of her cat while it was being judged. She said that it had gotten loose the last time she showed it and she'd appreciate it if there would be no pics taken. She could have been a little bit nicer about it but everyone else there was extremely nice.

BTW the Humane Society was also there and they remembered me because I had adopted Sky from them in June 2003. AmberLee and I are going back to the cat show again today. We're meeting up with Wolflady and her husband and we're also supposed to meet Don Juan's Mom too. I'm going to bring some better photos of Sky to show the Humane Society staff. I've decided to leave my camera at home today. I think I've taken enough pics for a while.

There were lots of abys, but they were all cocooned in their crates or snuggled deep into their cat beds as it was SO cold so we couldn't get any good pics, but they sure were cute!

I just love cat shows even if I am not showing just to see all the great cats. And the vendors are always willing to take your money. (LOL) I have a show to go to the end of January, and I can't wait. It has been since October since I have been to one. I will be showing Jaxon, Sanuye, and Miss Q. Jaxon is going for his grand champion points and Sanuye (Sanu) and "Q" are going for winners ribbons. Where was the show at? I also take pictures at the shows. Just to remember what some of them look like and what the competion was. But mostly because they are beautiful cats. And are what each of the breeds are suppose to look like.
