this baby is SOOOO good with dogs!!!

My stepdaughter and her husband and kids came up for a week this Christmas. Her kids are so sweet. They call me G-Mommy!

Anyways - Logan is 2. You wouldn't BELIEVE how good he is with dogs! My dogs both obey him, without question. He says sit, they sit. He can barely talk! He walks them all around the house - even Max! I can't believe this 2 year old can walk Max without his gentle lead on, but Max does whatever Logan wants him to do. Logan fell while he was walking Max and he just pulled himself up by Max's collar.

Logan was trying to give Jake a toy. He'd say "Here Jake" and give the toy to Jake, then Max would steel it. Then Logan just took the toy away from Max, kind of slapped Max on the nose (not hard) and said "No Max!" and gave the toy back to Jake. Would you believe Max actually listened to this baby?! And he had absolutely no fear whatsoever.

Logan weighs 22 lbs. Max weighs 91!

Oh - and this is so cute. My husband was babysitting. I was at work and the kids' parents were having some time out alone. Bob had just put Logan to bed, and Logan was fussing. Bob was just going to let him fuss for a while, but Max wouldn't allow it! He came and got Bob and absolutely insisted that Bob go take care of the baby. He barked and did the "follow me" thing and wouldn't take "no" for an answer! So Bob went up and tucked the baby in again, and then Max parked himself in the doorway of the bedroom and wouldn't move until the baby went to sleep. It was unbelievable!

    Here they are:

He walked Jake around like this all day. I mean - for hours! This is the family I was going to give Jake to, by the way.

Cuteness overload! What a handsome little boy! Looks like the dogs adore him. I'd like to see more pics of them together!

its cute how dogs react to tots. Max use to play all day non-stop with tots or yound kids (7 & younger), no matter how tired he was he always ran to get the ball or pail lid the kid tossed for him. I couldn't even get Max to play that long or that hard (unless I took him swimming).

Max was great when being walked by kids aswell. He didn't care when a 2yr old grabbed his pee pee & tried to rip it off his body. now how many dogs would allow that to happen?

I think they just have this instinct to be gentle with kids or something. It's amazing! I never would have imagined this before I got dogs.

It's so cute when puppies are so good with children. Melts your heart knowing you can put two beautiful creatures together. My golden adapted to children very quickly from the day we brought him home. Now, he absolutely loves kids. He'll run anywhere to play with one! It's sooo cute!

Here's a picture of my little sister the day we brought Oakley over to visit with her.
