    India

India, you are one beautiful kitty-don't let anyone ever tell you different!! Some people just wouldn't know a true beauty if one walked right up and bit them on the nose. Your Mommy and Daddy know how beautiful and special you are and that's what really counts! I am so glad that they shared your pictures with us so we can admire you all day...congratulations, sweet India!

India, you are so pretty! You look a lot like my Tabby kitty I had when I was little. She was very mellow & sweet. I use to dress her up in my doll clothes and wheel her around in a baby buggy, and she loved it. She would purr & purr! She also slept on my pillow every night. Congratulations on being cat of the day.

If someone looked at my cat and commented "Oh, it's only an outdoor cat!" I'd have a hard time restraining myself from swiping my paw at that person's nose! Bad human! Bad! Purebreds are nice to have, and they are perfect for people who have the patience, means and resources to take care of them. But so-called "outdoor cats" have a place in our homes too, and are no less deserving of love and care as are purebred cats. I do have to remind myself that some people will always be label-, status-, or class-conscious and I think it's tragically their loss to judge a pet's merits simply because they don't have papers. Hold your head up, little India! Like my Marsha, you are one regal princess to behold! Congrats to you on your special day and kisses on your forehead!

Thank you for the compliment! My Mommy, Daddy and both sets of grandparents tell me that. . . you would expect that from family! I am a little shy when I first meet someone! Mommy has not tried dressing me up yet. . . she is still trying to handle bathing me! Actually I hope she never tries to dress me!! Dont let Mommy in on the dressing idea! I do sleep with Mommy and Daddy every night. . . I wish they would be still though! Again thanks! India!

Trust me. . . Mommy was ready to attack the lady herself , but she controlled her feelings. Me? I was scared and just ready to get out of the busy entrance.
BUT, I knew Mommy would take care of me!
Dont get me wrong. . . Purebreds are nice, but I have almost everything that they do. . .a heart and feelings. Mommy and Daddy have made sure that today (and everyday) is special to me!! I get chased, munchie in the evening cradled like a baby--YEP! You got it . . . I am one spoiled kitty! Thank you for the nice words and the support!

    Spencer,

I was wondering the same thing myself when I saw the name "India" before her full picture appeared on my screen. ("Could this be THE president's India? The cat that George W. chose over Ernie to come live with his family in the White House?")

Yup, this cat's English is far too fluent for us to confuse her with GW's cat (which I am sure is every bit as cared for and loved as a cat deserves to be).

Precious India! What can I say that has not been said already except that papers are just that, they are papers, they are usually put out of place. But you are a precious bundle of fur that is obviously loved and gives love back (And also very computer literate, I must add). I love the action photo. God Bless you sweet India!

My Mommy got me when I was 6 weeks old from a friend of hers. I was a bit on the skittish side because of a 2 yr old that always chased me. My Mommy took me in and decided to call me India because I had a BIG orange dot on my forhead. As I got bigger I began to show other orange areas. . . Mommy now has to brush my hair sideways so that she can still see my dot! She is funny! Thanks for the support and kind words
