    dog eating my plants

We have an eight year old chocolate lab. Family dog since kids were babies. No changes in our household. Lately in the last 6 months she has chomped my plants. A peace lily and assorted other palnts, including one that is poison. She does not eat them she rips the leaves off and leaves the evidence on the floor. They had just grown back and then poof. I was so angry...but what do you do. I am not a hitter. I did drag her over there and put her nose by them and sternly say no. Help this is causing major frustration.
    Thanks, Barb

I would not recommend putting her nose over there and telling her no. All that is doing is scaring her because she is not associating her behavior with your corrections. Dogs have a 3-5 second association time, so if you want to correct her, you must catch her in the act and say no within 3-5 seconds, or she won't understand.

Are the plants in the house or outside?
