If you have ever heard of LinkyDinky.com they send you notices every week about free stuff,shirts, mousepad, aspirin, toothpaste, etc and one week was free pets!!
I actually posted my sisters cat for her b/c he lives with her father-in-law and he wanted to get rid of him, But noone wanted him, he is just too indpendent and grumpy, But I think he has decided to keep him.
