Cat Enclosure - suggestions please

Hi,

Nope, this isn't for me (unfortunately), but it is a question from another forum (one specifically for deaf cats) which I have joined........ I was hoping you may have some suggestions:

The issues are:
Wireless containment systems may not work with a deaf cat
A wire fence will REALLY spoil the appearance of the new house



HERE IS THE QUESTION:

I am building a house, it has a covered patio in the back. I have
always lived in apartments with decks where pooh bear could go
outside and not get away. I want a fence but not a wire fence to put across the patio so she can go outside but not leave the patio. Does anyone have any suggestions?

They could paint the wire the same color as the fencing???

You know, it is so hard for me not to be judgmental...cat safety vs. 'looks'...but, maybe a clear mesh screen of some sort? Painted chicken wire?
