Hello All!
Katie had a bath today and now seems to have water in her ear(I think). She keeps pawing at it once in awhile and then shaking her head. Any suggestions for what I can do to help her?
Thanks....Robin![]()

Get some cotton balls. Put one gently into her ear and then massage the area on the outside of the ear so the water can soak into the cotton. Then take the cotton ball out and repeat if necessary. Don't worry if you can't get the cotton out - she'll just shake her head and it'll fly out! Just don't shove it in tooooo deep though.

You can also soak a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol and clean her ear with that. The alcohol will dry up the water faster. Ear powder can also be purchsed at Petsmart or Petco that will dry it up.
Thanks Micki and Aly,
All seems well now. She stopped after I wrote in to Pet Talk. Must have drained on its own. I'll remember your suggestions though and also try to be more careful next time!.
Thanks again....Robin![]()
I was going to give Micki's suggestion, but, I'm glad to know Katie's ear is better.![]()
