    Irritable Bowel

As I stated in "Skinny Update" thread if things don't improve in next week or two, our vet is going to put him on venison and pea diet for irritable bowel.

Anyone have any experience with irritable bowel? How long does it take for the special diet for this particular problem to start working? Why I ask, the low residue diet we are on now isn't specially made for IB but for diarrhea control.

NoahsMommy has experience with IBD with her Micah. You can search for her old threads on the topic and you could also PM her! She's really nice, but has been busy recently and may take a while to get back to you.

A great resource outside of PT is located here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FelineIBD/
I know Kelly (NoahsMommy) has learned a lot from this group and they are a very supportive bunch just like PT!

Many thanks to Roxyluvsme13 & k9krazee for my great new siggy!!

Thank you for information, I did search and very informative stuff. The reading that I did the only symptom that Skinny posess is the diarreha for the IB. The vet did mention that the venison/pea diet was also good for food allergies. In kinda of a lump sum senero he would then treat him with venison/pea diet that is used in treatment of allergies and IB.
