**Pic's** New off leash park by our house

The city of Sea-Tac Washington, just south of Seattle and North of Tacoma, opened a 37 acre off leash park on Saturday. We went to the "Unleashing Ceremony". It was great. The park is called GrandView. Although the day was foggy, on a clear day Mt. Rainer would loom over the valley. Here are a few people that were there, er I mean dogs About 200 people and their dogs were present for the "Unleashing"
Here you can see how foggy it was.

Wilson checking out a big boy!

    Even Wilson was tired.

Lucee showing off her new 'dirt'.

    Did someone say treats??!!

    Nina's tired now too.

It was a wonderful day and we will have many more there. It is only about 10 miles from our house. We couldn't be happier !!!!

Looks like everyone had a great time! I'm jealous, our offleash park is a bit out of the way.

    Thank you Wolf_Q!

37 acres! I'll bet there is great fun to be had there. There are no dog parks in my county at all. Nearest one is about an hour away. Can't wait till our meeting in a week. Duke's going to have so much fun. Loved the pics.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.

Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Lucee is adorable. Man, if it weren't for the distance between us, I would take her in in a heartbeat.

You're also very lucky to have a dog park so near you! I have no idea where the nearest one to me is... Nowhere close, I think! Looks like a terrific place and no doubt the dogs will love it!

Since this is a new park it isn't all ready yet. The city closed it 3 years ago because they couldn't pay for it. The city then donated it to S.O.D.A., same group that runs Marymore, who opened it as an off leash park. There is no water any place yet. The pipes are there, just not in working order. That will be the next step. So for now we all have to carry jugs and bowls.
The park is on my way to work. So somedays if I am early I may stop on my way for a doggie fix
