Since the weather stayed nice for Sunday as well, Andy and I decided to go to the Renn Fest. Sorta a spur of the moment thing... so being it was just the two of us, we called it a date.
It was more crowded this time but we still had a lot of fun. Didn't see many shows, but enjoyed window shopping. I bought a hair accessory, a shawl, a wooden dragon figure with my name on it, and boots.
There are little drinking holes scattered about for pups and I was passing one where a woman, little girl, and their cairn terrier was getting a drink.
I started to call for Andy to stop saying I wanted to let Kia get a drink when the woman starts screaming, "You just wait and keep your dog away." I was stunned at first and I said, "I know, I was going to wait, I was just letting my boyfriend know I was stopping."
She glowers and says, "You don't know much about terriers do you."
I just smile and say, "Well my dog has shared many water bowls with them and there have been no problems if that's what you mean."
The little girl says, "He's done." and the woman whisks them away, muttering "She doesn't know what she's talking about..."
Andy looks at me incredulously and rolls his eyes. "She must not take her dog to very many dog parks."
I just smile and said, "She's probably one of those types with an unsocialized dog that doesn't like other dogs and it's the other owners fault."
Kia just happily drank. Ah well...
