I was thinking about this the other day...

I went through my dog book and picked out every dog I would enjoy having... Here's my list.

    Harder to find breeds
    Kyi Leo
    Peruvian Inca Orchid
Tibetan Spaniel (maybe hard to find, I dunno)
    Clumber Spaniel
    Dutch Partridge Dog
    Epagneul Picard
    Epagneul Pont-Audemer
    Bracco Italiano
    Beauceron
    Schapendeos
    Saarloos Wolfhound
    Groenendael
    Laekenois
    Iceland Dog
    Puli
    Pumi
    Deerhound
    Hanoverian Mountain Dog
    Lurcher
    Pharoh or Ibizan Hound
    Podengo Portugueso Pequeno
    Borzoi
    Sloughi
    Patterdale Terrier
    German Hunting Terrier

Well, that's only the lesser-known breeds... lol Do I dare continue into the well known breeds?

When I was growing up (and not allowed to have a dog) I used to read the books about the different breeds. I knew them by heart. I wanted each and every one of them all for different reasons. THEN I started to work with dogs. Today the list of breeds that I would actually want in my home has shrunk considerably. Too many breeds have been ruined by popularity and therefore over breeding (BAD breeding). Your average mutt is still the way to go (IMO). But then again, I don't have a dog.

From the rare breeds I would love to have a Chinook. And of course, a couple of goldens and a husky.

If I was to have a rarer breed, I'd probably have an ibizan hound. LOOOVE them!

But I'm still having a Catahoula leopard dog and a German shepherd dog. I guess you can classify a Catahoula as rare, right? Humm.

I only want a few special breeds when I get older and even then I will rescue them all.

    I want Pitt bulls.
I want Newfoundlands, although I'm not sure if this will happen they are my fav breed, I'm in love with them.
Dobermans, I love them so much.
and Shelties, I hope to MAYBE be a breeder, but that would take ALOT of research on the breed and stuff and is WAY down the line.

All the rest of my dogs will be mutts.

Aw, what a cutie. I'm going to be purchasing my male catahoula puppy from Cat's Cradle Catahoulas. I've already talked with the breeder there. They are good reputable breeders.
