    The stray goes home! :)

I got a panicked call from a musher friend tonight--he's been out of town for a few days and just saw the posters I put up about Nugget. Nugget is a sled dog puppy, a pointer cross. He disappeared Sunday afternoon while out for a run with the big dogs. My Pingo came from this same kennel and I know this guy is good to his dogs. They aren't pets, they are working dogs, but he treats them very well. When Nugget saw him, he just melted. All the fear disappeared. I have no worries about letting him go back. I told him he might have some trouble turning him into a sled dog again--he's been a spoiled house dog for a few days! Mushers often rehome their dogs for a variety of reasons--I have reserved little Nugget should he ever have to be moved! For now, he's not far down the road and I can visit whenever I want.
