Fister was an angel at the vet

Yesterday, we took Fister to the vet for his vaccination. As usual he sat in the sunny windowsill when I came out of the bath. I went for the pill broke it in half and stuffed it right in - he swallowed!! (2 ½ mg. Valium) He stayed there so I gave him a few treats and his glass of water.

An hour later, he went for the bedroom as John was getting up. His walk was slightly wobbly, but he could jump up on the bed. We left him there until we had to go and prepared the box in the kitchen. John lifted him all th eway out there and put him inside - no problem at all.

The vet is only 5 min. drive away, so that is lucky! He was weighed (7.3 kg.) had his teeth, ears, paws and bum checked and then the needle. He was such a good boy!

The vet cleaned his teeth a bit and we got some antibiotic called Antirobe for him to take for 8 days. Will start that when we get back from Munich.

When we came back, he had to check every single cupboard, and then he wanted a cuddle badly befor he slept for a few hours. He didn't want anything to do with John until the evening in bed.

So all in all very successful! His next trip will be on friday morning - and for 5 days.

What a good boy you were Fister!! We always have a bit of a drama taking ours to the vet and they do NOT grant cuddles afterwards.

What a good boy, Fister! Seems like everything went so much smoother than it used to with the fighting to get him in the carrier and all. This had to have been so much less stressful on him - and on you and John! Will you use the Valium to get him to his wonderful temporary home? If so, I hope the two events are so close that he remembers and puts up more of a fuss. Although he'll have such a good time there that I'm sure he'll forgive you everything when you get home.

Hugs and scritchies to the new more kinder and gentler Fister. (Yeah right! I think I need a picture of those claws again John. Just as a reminder that Fister is kinder and gentler because he wants to be, but I'm sure he can bring back his street fighting ways in a second if need be! )

Ok so the old streetfighter needs drugs to be an angel

Anyway I'm glad everything is ok but what does he need the antibiotics for?

I hope he will talk again to John before he leaves. Wouldn't be nice not to say byebye to daddy.

Fister, I am so glad to hear you behaved at the white coats, and that all is running smoothly. I hope your stay at the feline pension is wonderful!

Hey Fister - any chance your Meowmie could send those drugs over here? I've got some people at work that could use them

So glad you were a good boy for the whitecoats. You are one special boy!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Gosh, I though ... Fister? An angel at the vet's? Surely that title isn't right! How nice for everyone concerned. A vet trip with no human bandages required! Extra snuggles for Fister, sweetie!@

Fister, I'm so glad to hear that you were such a good boy at the whitecoats. Hopefully this will continue for all vet visits in the future. Maybe this was a belated birthday gift for Randi.
