Thank heaven for the wonderful family who are now yours forever & a day. And thank heaven that your new family was given good advice to hang in there as you would gradually come out of the horrors you'd experienced for years.
You're a great example of the treasures that can lie beneath the 'bad' behaviours of dogs that have been traumatized by horrible experiences. Many of us who have rescue dogs have had similar experiences. Dogs who've been stressed out of their minds by what humans have done with them....given love, care, routine & some basic training, turn into the EXACT opposite. Yes, they become the BEST and MOST DEVOTED dogs ever. Sounds just like you, lovely Sophie.
