    My day...

    was filled with rescue kitten care!!

    First...prepare yourselves...they are MORE than polydactyl...they have seven toes on each front paw. (3 of the 4 kittens) Has anyone ever seen this before????

    There are two black and white (1 male, 1 female) and two gray and white (1 male, 1 female) kittens...I'm not completely sure on the sex, but we think that's what they are.

    Black/white boy...




    Close up of one of their paws, not sure if you can tell or not, but there are 7 toes!!


    They all had their baths and are really sweet little things. They have lots of eye goo, so I'm wiping their eyes every few hours with eye pads for cats.

    Three of them are eating really well. Our "hisser" (who is cuddly and all talk) isn't eating that much...that's the gray/white female.

    Anyway, just wanted to share.

    Awwwwww they're so adorable. I've never heard of a cat having 7 toes. Maybe it's some kind of a mutation. Thanks for sharing their cute pics. Now I have to read their story in the other thread.

    ha ha!! He didn't like me not holding his lower half...he was all squirmy. I think that's what his face is all about!

    Awww Kelly, they are sooo cute They look to be about 4-5 weeks old. Do you know for sure how old they are? I'll go read the whole story now!

    Dax and her kittens had seven toes on each front paw and five on each back paw. Those were the "Mahopac Monsters" I fostered last year.

    Extra toes is a genetically dominant mutation. Anyone who remembers 10th grade bio might figure out why one was NOT polydactyl.
