    Urgent: What Is Wrong With Riley?!

    WE GOT HOME AND I CHECKED ON RILEY, MY DWARF HAMSTER AND HE WAS LAYING ON HIS SIDE, WHICH IS UNUSUAL. SO WE TOOK HIM OUT AND HE LAYS ON HIS SIDE AND HE IS COLD. JUST YESTERDAY I HAD HIM OUT IN HIS BALL AND HE WAS ROLLING AROUND. THIS MORNING WHEN I TOOK HIM OUT AND FED HIM HE WAS JUST FINE. TONIGHT, HE'S ALMOST DEAD. WHAT DO I DO?! WHAT IS WRONG?! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

    My mom's on the phone with someone at PetsMart right now who knows all about hamsters and such. I don't know of a vet that's open right now, otherwise he'd be th ere.

    Thank you for keeping Riley in your thoughts. I hope he makes it, he's my baby.

    Riley passed away in my hands tonight, around 10:22pm on the way to the emergency vet, to be euthanized.

    I am truly sorry about Riley. I have lost 2 dwarf hamsters.... i know exactly how you feel. Really sorry....
