This poll prompted me to go to my Family website which I hadn't been to in a while. I'm Choctaw and Cherokee, not Blackfoot. I found a few cool pics I thought I'd share.
This picture is either my Grandfather's mother or grandmother.
Born and raised in Vancouver, BC Canada

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Tonya, I LOVE this pic. I wonder if she made the quilt? Any idea what year this is? Thanks for sharing these with us.Originally posted by Tonya

Scotish on my dads..duno on my moms lol..Hunter..is that english? -shrugs-
My babies: Josie, Zeke, Kiba, Shadow (AKA Butter)
I picked Spanish since it's the closest. But I consider myself hispanic or latin since it includes more than just people who are from Spain. My moms side of the family is very spanish and they came to Texas (which was then Mexico) a few hundred years ago. My dads side of the family is from Mexico (well while it was still Mexico), I'm guess native and maybe some Spanish blood. My dad side of the family is much darker skinned then my moms side of the family. I like to laugh when people make comments about me or my family being "illegal" I always laugh and say that the U.S. bought my family and we had no choice in the matter.
I've been Defrosted!
Thanks for the great signature Kay!
I'm Canadian, but my bloodlines from my mother's and father's sides have been traced, and so I have English, Scottish and Danish lines from my mom's, and then from my dad's I have Romanian, Polish and German.![]()
I've been BOO'd!
Tomkat- I have no idea when the pic was taken. It doesn't look very old, but I'm sure they can retouch them too. All it says is that it was taken in North Carolina and she was born in the mid 1800's. The photo says it's my grandpa's mom, but I think that's a typo. I think she's my great great grandmother, because my grandpa was probably born 1910-1920.
Still not sure everyone understands what you're asking for Amber, since most are giving their heritage.![]()
My nationality is American, and my ancestry is Irish/Swiss/Cherokee.
