Please help! Tiny white bugs in Hopper's (pacman frog) cage!!!!

Tonight, I was putting his (Hopper) daily water in his bowl and all over his dirt so it'd stay nice and moist. Well, when I wet his dirt tonight, out came 1 million little white bugs, crawling EVERYWHERE. Well, needless to say, I quickly removed Hopper and put him in another container, while I cleaned out his cage. I didn't have any more dirt to replace the infested dirt with, so I had to use what remained of his moss. I'll be getting fresh, new dirt first thing tomorrow morning. Also, before I put him into his clean cage, I thoroughly washed him off and made sure there were no bugs on him.

Does anyone have any clue what these little white things are, how they got there and how to make sure this doesn't happen again?

THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE.

No, these weren't baby crickets... I know cause the Tokay Gecko has tons of baby crickets in his cage and these bugs looked nothing like baby crickets.

Were they flying or crawling? In my plants dirt I get both bugs. Mostly the annoying flying ones. But the second one plant wilts its covered in little white bugs. In my case I know its more then likely caused by the dirt, cause they only seem to be in the dirt & not really anywheres else. But I get these nasty little red & black beatles in my room & I call them "poo bugs". The reason I call them that is because every time the dogs poo in the basement my room is infested with them. I've been living with these nasty poo bugs on a daily bases for the past 3 weeks!!! Rob's parents are pooholes & wont clean up all the poo & pee pee ALL over the floor!!! & theres a lot, 6 piles & 4 3' puddles. I have to keep my door closed to hide from the stench

I can't clean it up cause I can't breath near it. I have to hurry from my bedroom door & quickly trot past all the mess... oh & did I mention the litter box hasn't been cleaned in 3 weeks aswell!!!

I'm paying $600.00 for rent why???

Besides cleaning and disinfecting the tank tomorrow, I'd give him a soak in a bit of lukewarm water for ~20 minutes to get rid of any that might still be on him.

    Thank you Wolf_Q!

Yeah I agree 100%. The only time I've ever seen anything like that was the time I went to Colorado and I had to leave my iguana with a guy I knew and "trusted" to take care of her - he was into iguana rehab.

Anyway when I went to drop her off things were a bit messy but they seemed O.K.

When I went to pick her UP though - it was quite different. I had loaned him her cage for the 3 months I was off on training, the same cage she had lived in for about 3 years, and it had never once been as dirty as I saw it when I came back - he let his other iguanas free-roam and they had climbed all over that cage, shredded the side panelling to ribbons, crapped all over it...

There was iguana poo caked on the heat vents, and poor Caicos was sitting in the windowsill, very cold to the touch. He had also destroyed all the years of potty training I had instilled in Caicos - I'd had her trained to go to the bathroom in a kitty litter pan - and he just wiped that out of her head in 3 short months. I had to start from square one. She's back to her normal self now though.

I never left her with him again, and we stopped talking.

I wound up having to dismantle her beautiful cage - and get her a smaller one from a site online. Only now am I finally preparing to build her a new cage ... it's going to be 6 feet tall, 5 feet wide, and 3 feet deep.
