Thinking of getting a hamster

I have been thinking of getting a male syrian hamster.
I have some money saved. my parents will let me get a hamster even though they like to say no. but deep down they already dont care if I get one or not. As long as I take care of it.
alls I need to save up for is a 10gallon aquarium cage, food bowl, water bottle, and the hammie! we already have food and bedding from Gracie~

Because you said you were going to feed them the same food, and I wasn't sure if Gracie was a hamster or not. She's a little small in the picture so I wasn't too sure.
