I took in five rescues today.......WOLFCHAN you will not believe what I have!!!!

Sterling~ He's a silvered American blue American Irish, one of my rescues but not a recent one.

Quicksilver~ I have posted pics of him before but he has grown very squishy now. He's a Dumbo charcoal possum faced capped. Look at his whiskers though, they look like spider legs lol.

Sterling looking cute~ Don't you just love that face?

Brownie~ This is Meekos son. He's an agouti rex dumbo, english irish. He was just mated with my Chloe (used to be Skittles lol) and should be the proud pappa of new kittens in just a couple weeks.

Bandit~ One of my favorite boys! He's a black masked

WolfChan here are two of the rescue boys...do you see what's on the right? LMAO Isn't he gorgouse!!!

That's Capone and Socrates. I will post pics of Smokey, who is Capones brother later. He too is a rex. These boys also came with two girls, a black berk named Berky and a Himi girl named Scout. I will post pics of the other rescues later and also some of my other ratties.

The odd eye dumbo blazed girl, the sister to the above two, who I kept as well. hehe

23 Days. I really really hope that she took because this will be an awesome litter if she did. They would be all dumbo, and in mink, blue, fawn, havanna agouti, pearl and with merles and a chance of blue and mink point siamese babies!

I also just bred Wrinkles, but it is still unknown if she or Chloe have took. For Wrinkles I am expecting siamese in blue point and seal point, American blue and blacks in high white markings and a chance of BEW's! I could also get some blue fawns which would really be pretty. The daddy of Wrinkles litter would be Quicky who is pictured above.

I am always amazed at the different f l a v o r s that these cuties come in! Do you keep records on the breedings with the characteristics charted etc? That seems like a BIG job!

Best wishes for your whole cuddly bunch!

I do actually and yes it is a tough hard job. I keep track of the day the animal was mating, DOB, DOD, how many kittens a rat had, if any died, how long the rat lives, if they were ever sick, their pedigrees which could contain over 12 rats etc. I do have help with a nice little computer program though called "Breeders Assistant."

It helps keep tract of pedigrees, trail mating pedigrees, and even gives you percentages of inbreeding for a specific rat. It's a great program!

    What does BEW mean?
"We give dogs the time we can spare, the space we can spare and the love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made" - M. Facklam

"We are raised to honor all the wrong explorers and discoverers - thieves planting flags, murderers carrying crosses. Let us at last praise the colonizers of dreams."- P.S. Beagle

"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king." - J.R.R. Tolkien

BEW stands for Black Eyed White, meaning all white body with black eyes.

He's a rescue from my friend, but he was bred by a friend of mine named Amy, from Elk Trails Rattery in Washington. Because he comes from a nice line and is pedigreed and healthy I am going to breed him.
