Hi!! i just got back from Petco with my dad! I love it there!! We got Sadie a new red collar, and since i have a dog-walking service, we got a double dog-walking coupler thing, (a thing where you can walk two dogs at the same time without having to hold two leashes), and a shampoo bottle, since I'm out of doggy shampoo, and that's it1 (Sorry to bore you with that!) Just wanted to know if any of you go to Petco, and tell me all the things you get there!

My fiancee and I recently stopped by our local Petco store for this first time. She saw a few things she may go back and buy. But we went just down the road and bought a few things at our PetSmart.

I don't know if this policy is at all Petco's, but at this one, you could not bring your pets in shopping with you.

The Petco by my house has a PetSmart right across the street. The PetSmart is always really busy with dogs all over the place. No one is ever at the Petco and I never see dogs in there. I did take Harley and Reece in there before but I felt like they might not be allowed because I never see other dogs there. No one said anything to me about it though. I just prefer our PetSmart because its the new, remodeled one complete with vet and all (although I don't use their vet).

We don't have a Petco here. But we do have the new PetSmart, with vet, groomer etc. Once a month we all go and stock up on food, treats, "toy of the month" (week, really!) and something new like a bed, collar, leash. I also have to stock up for my two kittys and guinea pig! We usually have two carts and the check out lady thinks we're a little nutz!! Does Sadie go with you? Star trys to clean out the cookie aisle every time. I didn't know you had a dog walking service. That's great! You sound like a very dedicated young woman and true animal lover!!! STILL WAITING for the debut of sweet Sadie! Glad you had fun shopping for your girl! Give her a big hug and kiss from me and Star!!

The two Petcos nearest us do allow dogs and I guess any other pets in them. Recently, though, they posted a sign that said "LEASHED dogs welcome!" but I have been there when they had House Rabbit, Greyhound rescue and cat rescue people all there with animals! It really is a wonderful place - it must depend on the individual managers or regulations on how the store's animal policy is!

I'm so jealous we have to go to Missoula to Petsmart and that is 4 hours away. I spend hours there when we do go. But ours dosn't have much for my chins (not that that will be a problem much longer (see pets general allergys) I use the internet and mail a lot here.
