Yesterday, we stopped by the Pet Store where we got Prince. I looked at the puppies, and then I looked at the rats and lizards. I told my mom we had to look at the birds. We went over there, and there were a couple different kinds. I put my finger down, and this cockatiel just got right on. It sat on my shoulder... finally I put it down, and was going to see if any of the other birds would go on my finger. None of them did. I begged my mom... she said it was up to me. I finally decided yes, and my mom paid for the bird and I paid for the starters kit(cage, bird feed, waterers and feeders) It was more expensive than the bird! I got some pics too. Here they are!

, is that don't allow them to lick the bird or for the bird to touch their saliva in any way. Birds have very little bacteria in their mouths and the bacteria from the mouths of dogs and cats can make them very ill or even kill them. Also, be very careful when the bird's around the dogs, because you just never know. It seems your pup is very sweet with him/her already though. More pics please and I'm sure that with time, you'll come to love life with your new feathered friend!
