Mini Pet Talk Meeting: Toronto!

Paul and I got to meet Lailamara Sunday evening in Toronto! We had a lovely time, and chatted until she was probably going to be late for work in the morning! Shared lotsa kitty/bunny stories, and watched people and dogs while we chatted, including one black Lab who had a fabulous time chasing the tennis ball his master threw into a wading pool by the river!

We are home now, hopefully Lailamara will have pictures, or I will, at least when I have time to check the camera!

Always fun to be able to meet Pet Talk folk when we travel!

I forgot to tell you all the funniest part! She came to our hotel to meet us, but the front desk wouldn't connect her directly to the room - because she didn't know my last name! How funny - we all *know* each other so well here - but little details like that trip us up!

It was wonderful to meet Paul and Karen. I was a bit tired the next morning but it was worth it for the interesting stories and conversation. I hope to meet up again someday, maybe in Boston.
Karen and I like cooler weather but Paul was quite happy with our heat wave. I'll try and post pictures tonight as I continue to avoid writing the last of my reports and finding creative ways to stay cool with a broken air-conditioning system.

We were down on the Harborfront, by a wading pool next to the lake. I have no idea what restaurant we were at, the tables were outside.

So you may have unknowingly looked down on us from the CN tower! Paul and I went up there Sunday afternoon for lunch and the view!

Okay, I'm intrigued. How DID you get together after all?

Oh - they set the phone down (but didn't put it on hold) and let me listen to desk conversation for a couple of minutes, then finally put her on the phone! We described what each other were wearing (as the hotel lobby was full of people milling about) and did connect when we got to the lobby!
