    Goldendoodles?

Has anyone heard or seen a kind of dog called the Goldendoodle? It's a mix between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle, and they are soo cute!
There is also one called a Labordoodle (Sp?) Which is a mix between a lab and a Poodle.

There's about 15 Goldendoodles at the obedience club that i take Foxy to. I tried to find some pics on the net but this was the only one that i could find.

They are bred mostly in Australia to be guide dogs. They have a golden temperment, combined with the non-shedding and mainly hypo-allergenic fur of the standard poodle...It is a great combination, really, for a blind person who can't deal with a shedding dog...

Didn't know that either...my cousin was the one who brought it up and I just wanted to know what they were like.

    Re: The Doodles!!!!

Thanks Wolfsoul, you are correct there. I have a doodle, as you know (white standard poodle dad and cream labrador retriever mum).
Well, mine is my pet and companion, good at barking when there is a knock on the door, and extra good at loving them when they enter the house.
I have seen a Golendoodle here, and she was a very nice dog, good natured and friendly. Mine has extremely curly hair, where this Goldendoodle had long wavy hair like the Retriever, and her colour was apricot. She had never been clipped. I am sorry, but mine has to be clipped as she gets matted if I don't.
I know very little about them, as Tiff is my first...hopefully she will live a good long life. I don't intend breeding from her, as she is my friend. Who would like to have children, just for them to be taken from you????? I have never bred any of my dogs, ever.
I love to see the pictures, thank you. Regards Mich.
