Outrageous
What is the most outrageous thing you spent money on for a cat?
I think our is the time we were driving to feed the ferals and I spotted a cat hanging at the very top of a tree. I told my husband to stop the car and we got out and tried to coerce the cat down, with no luck. We went and fed then checked on the cat in the tree, which was still there. We called the Humane Society who came out and tried to get the cat down, but didn't have a ladder tall enough. We set a can of food at the bottom of the tree in hopes the cat would come down and eat and left for the night. Next morning we went to check and the poor thing was still hanging there!
We finally called a tree trimming company and paid them $150 to bring out a bucket truck. They brought gloves and an canvas bag and when the bucket reached the top of the tree, the cat JUMPED
! It landed on it's feet and took off running. Never saw it again!
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers
