Timber has a hole in her tongue

A couple months ago, Timber and her husky friend Nakita got in a big fight.

In this brawl, Timber managed to bite a hole through her tongue.

Problem is --- it still hasn't healed!

Is this normal? Does the skin not grow over on a dog's tongue? I would assume it would be just like a person's? Has anyone had this happen before? I really don't know what to think.

The topic of your message made me think Timber had moved to the big city and gotten her tongue pierced!

Fortunately no one has invented jewelry for pet piercings!

This reminded me of an interesting story --- my friend used to pierce her rats' ears!!! Of course if I would have known about it at the time, I would have stopped her But she is all grown up now, and knows she was stupid lol
