    Gotta Brag

OK, it's kittens season and this is the FIRST year since we've been TNRing the park cats that we haven't seen ONE kitten born there! It feels really good!
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers

Yeah......let's hope it stay that way.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

ya. there is a park here in terre haute that people just drop dogs and cats off. i've seen it before. i saw a guy drive up, and get a box of kittens out and sit them down and sat on a bench. i asked him after a while if they were his,and he said he had never seen them before.

Congratulations!!! You deserve the right to brag!

    Lute,

Did you happen to get the license plate??? That's all you had to do. No need for a videotape. You were a witness to it.

    That's terrible

Why can't these morons who don't desex their cats find homes for them? Whenever we ended up with an unintentional litter when I was a child, we ALWAYS found all the babies furrever homes no matter how much trouble it was. Of course, much thanks can be given to the electronic bulletin board at Mum's work that was just phenomenal!

The furrbabies new meowmies used to even send us cards and piccies!

How could you be so irresponsible to just leave them in a park? Grrrr, that makes me very mad! And glad that people like K&L are doing whatever they can to help the situation

Mum to two little humans, a very vocal 14 year old Ragdoll, and a super energetic and snuggly rescue kitten.

Kim you keep up the good work. Believe me, we've made our mistakes and learned alot from them along the way. It all pays in the end. The best way to look at rescue is: you do what you can to help. It may not always turn out the way you want it to, but you've given them more of a chance than they would've had. We have done some where in the 90 plus range at the park. There's only about 40 left, but now they're not reproducing and more babies without a home or love. Hang in there, it will all work out.
