Need help on signatures avatars

An avatar needs to be any image 60 pixels square or smaller, that you have on your hard drive saved as a jpg or gif file.

Then go under User CP to "edit options" and scroll down to the "avatar" and hit "browse," and show it where you have that file saved.

That image might work for a signature image, but you need to put [/img] after the ".jpg" part.

Were not the avat instructions step by step enough?

Use any image-editing program - Paintshop is a common one. Hit "resize" image, and type in the 60 pixels size. You may want to "crop" it first, if, for example it's an image with a lot of yard, and then a pet in the middle, "select" the good area, then "crop."

Both crop and resize are under different menus in different programs, so just keep looking, and I'm sure you'll find it readily.

i tried looking @ the instructions that someone else posted...and my results weren't good.
