    Rat's fur

As Chester, on of my rats, is growing up, the blue fur of his is getting white in some spots and getting blue in some spots. (It's spreading.) It's cool. Did anyone else's rat's fur do this? Thanks!

Mine didn't, but I know some siamese and himilayan rats that developed dark spots all over them...

Yes, that happened to Peanut and her mother Skittles. As Skittles got older, the white on her muzzle, started to grow further back towards her eyes. Peanut, as she got older, her blue started to expand, and cover up some white areas.

It's actually a fault in the Rat Fancy, but I think it's beautiful! Like Blue Smokes are considered mismarked but I think they are one of the most beautiful colors a ratty can be.

Check this page out, they have some nice colour examples.
I miss having rats soooo much.

I'd really like a Black Dumbo Rex someday. But all I've ever had was black or beige hooded rats, white rats, and a beige rat from local pet stores. I've never seen anything exotic in the petstores in Maine.
