We've got one, with 'Buddy.' I'm kind of surprised that I never see 'Pup' or 'Puppy' on these types of lists - I guess that, for a very uncreative name, it turned out to be rather original!

The most memorable basset to cross my path ('sides Miz Daisy of course ) was one named Puddin'. The name suited her to a T!

Drake is pretty original as well. I have never met or heard of another dog with his name. He was named after Sir Francis Drake, the world explorer.

Our's was named Buddy because that's exactly what he is! He joined our home and became Paula's much-needed best buddy! He also tries to be the best pal of any human he meets. So it may be unoriginal, but Buddy suits our boy perfectly!

My dog is named 'Scout', after the little girl in "To Kill a Mockingbird", one of the all time great books/movies. She is a bit spunky and feisty like Scout in the book too. She is a good girl at heart.
