**Lady and Nebo need your help!**

Lady and Nebo will be attending the 8th Annual "Strut Your Mutt!"

Strut Your Mutt has been a Utah tradition since 1996. Each May, thousands of people come together to raise money for Utah's homeless pets. Great prizes are earned by struters who gather monetary pledges. Participants also get to enjoy doggie contests, entertainment, and a short strut around the park.

It consists of Leisurely 1.5 mile group dogwalk, booths and games, "Buster's Backyard" (for those who raise $250 or more), Flyball and Agility performances, contests like "Best Trick," "Pet/Owner Look Alike," "Biggest Lap Dog" and more.

It is a fundraiser to raise money for No More Homeless Pets in Utah, a non-profit organization working to end the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable dogs and cats in Utah by 2005. No More Homeless Pets in Utah is a program of Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, the largest no-kill animal sanctuary in the nation.

We're working on gathering pledges. Our goal is to reach the $250 "Buster's Backyard" level. If any of you would like to help us out (we will love you forever ) You can donate online HERE! The PERSON to sponser (not the team name, we don't have one) is Amy Quarnberg. If you would like to donate by mail, PM or Email me!

All of the money raised by Strut is going to a GREAT organization.....the No More Homeless Pets in Utah, and also The Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. Many of you are probably familiar with Best Friends! Oh, and just to let the cat/other animal lovers know, this may be a dog event, but the money raised will go to help ALL kinds of pets!

I promise you TONS of photos of the event! I'm very excited to go!

P.S. If anyone donates $100 + they will receive a FREE 9x12 colored pencil Pet Portrait!

This is a great thing you are doing. I'm sure all of you will have fun in the sun. We do the same thing here locally. Our local humane society calls it Paws in the Park. It's alot like the race for a cure by the cancer society, but it's doggies walking in the park to raise money to help care for the homless furbabies. I'm a volunteer for the society and this is how I'm able to help all those babies that need a forever home!
    GOOD LUCK!!

Sounds like fun! I was going to do a walk for the Wood County Humane Society this morning , but I didn't get up early enough (Wood County is about 1/2 south of us) I do hope to do the Lucas County (County I live in) walk May 18. That is great that donations can be made online, makes it easy for us

    Can't wait for the pictures!

I think I may have forgotten to mention this...The Event is on MAY 17th, so if you'd like to donate, I'd need it by at least the 16th, if not sooner.

Thanks to anyone who has (or may) donate! And a HUGE thanks to Kimmy...send me some photos of Kia so I can do a portrait for you!

What an awesome idea!! What is wrong with where I live?? There is nothing like that done for animals in shelters or anything. Maybe I'll have to organize something
I will be donating, after I get paid this week

Can I just say how AMAZING Pet Talk is? We asked so many people on Saturday and only ended up with $12. One day of Pet Talk and we're almost at our goal! Wow!!

Thanks again you guys...one, for helping us.....but more importantly, for helping homeless pets!!! You guys are the best! Every bit counts!!

Oh, and I have no way of tracking anything that was donated online...so if you donate, you can pm me and let me know the amount, or if you don't want to, that's perfectly fine, maybe we'll be surprised the day of the event!

p.s. I will be doing a portrait of Freckles now too.....thanks so much Joan!!

I just donated, too. Wow, that is SO convenient! It wasn't much but I'm sure every little bit will help! Do you guys get t-shirts and doggy bandanas and stuff? If so, we want to see pictures! Well, we want to see pics, anyway. hehe.

    Thank you!!! EVERY bit counts!!

Yes, we do get some prizes for the levels we reach....you get bandanas just for registering for the event (which is $20 per person). They mail them to you....Lady and Nebo are modeling the bandanas in the above photo, and will be wearing them to the event.

Here's a link about it! And I *will* take tons of photos, of course!
