    Cat Chewing Everything in Sight

My Gosh! This Pixel of mine chews more than your average dog. Leave a book out overnight and it will have chewed edges. Give her your hand and she will chew on it like a baby with a teething ring (I wonder, do they make these for cats?)

She now has a wonderful new habit - sneaking up at night and chewing on our hair. She has done this non-stop for the last three nights, earning her a ban from the bedroom. Funny the first time, not very funny the 12,304,121 st time!

    What's going on ......

    Sounds like it

Give her a plastic toy thingy she can chew on. That helped me with Bastet. Of course its thrown away now because it was mangled. Wait until she realises what claws can do!

    Too late!

She has found that her claws sink into soft flesh quite nicely and that the sneak up and bounce "commando kitty" attack is the most effective way of catching the humans off guard.

She also started bench-jumping today ... almost burning herself on a very hot grill pan

Tibby is the same way and she's been like that since I got her. I kept hoping she would grow out of it, but so far she hasn't. It doesn't matter what it is, pens, books, paper, hair ties. She chews on it all, I have to be really careful as to what I leave lying around the house or she'll chew on it. Her favorite are straws. My roommate and I always forget and leave drinks on our coffee table, if we get up to do something when we get back the cup is turned over and the straw is gone.

    LOL

Oh dear, I do hope our naughty girl grows out of it! But, I was watching Harry's Practice (a pet show) and he was saying that Meezers just looooooooooove to chew stuff (she's half Meezer) ... I have to watch out for everything - she decimates plastic Coke lids, cardboard, paper, you name it she will chew on it!

    What breed is Tibby?

Tanner does the same thing. I cleaned my apartment this weekend and found perfume bottles all over the place with chewed tops. I have little teeth marks in almost anything plastic or bamboo (including my knitting needles). For what ever reason he just loves to chew on things...

I think Tibby is a siamese Mix, or she looks like one anyways. But out of the 5 in her litter only 2 looked like siamese and the other 3 were tabbies.

    You know ...

Tibby looks a LOT like Pixel, I'd say there'd be plenty of Meezer in her genes! As for the rest of the litter, my Mum has two Meezer/Domestic Short Hair crosses who ACT like Meezers but look like regular domestics.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with a chewy kitty!
