    Edwina Goes to the Vet

Today was Edwina's annual checkup. She was such a good girl! The vet looked at her chart -- which had a "bad kitty" notation from last year. He asked if he should get someone to help. We assured him she would behave and she did!!!!

She spent most of the time clinging to my husband's neck.

The best news is she lost .2 of a pound!!! Okay, it's not much but at least she didn't gain any weight. She is a healthy 11.4 pounds with clean teeth!

Right now she isn't speaking to me. I'm leaving tonight for a few days so she'll REALLY be angry with me.

Just as expected - what a good girl you are Edwina. Now you can tell the vet to take that "bad kitty" note down and put up a "easy girl" instead. - And a clean bill of health! That's our girl!

She's a smart girl too, she can sense what's going on with your suitcase out, she knows the routine, and I bet she'll loose another few .2 pounds while you're away. You may come back to a skinny kitty, Sara!

    Have a great trip!

    Good Girl!

Awww, most kitties don't like the vet very much - especially the part involving the thermometer! Sounds like your kitty behaved herself, which is good. I just don't understand how the vets get whopping big Dobermans or Great Danes to behave themselves at the vets

Must be "take your cats to the vet" day!

Today was Miley and Ti's annual check up and shots visit.
Both cats were very noisey until they arrived at the new Vet's office. It took some time to do the paperwork so they had plenty of time to chill before the Vet started with them. Ti went first and he was so nice to deal with.....he clung to me but allowed the Vet to poke, prod and stick him. He weighed 15.5 lbs.

Miley was just as sweet and weighed 7 lbs. Both had good clean teeth and seemed healthy.

I am going to try to switch Miley to the same food Ti is on, to make it easier on me. We shall see if that works.

Right now Ti is on the porch and Miley has the run of the rest of the household. They are still not getting along but I am hoping the situation will change over time.

Glad to hear Ms. Winny is in good shape AND that she behaved herself.

Ti has been asking about Winny, but I keep telling him that he must get better at winning the women and that he should start with the resident cat and work his way up from there. He seems to want to skip over Miley and move right to Winny. He must learn though....

When I read the subject line my heart thumped. Miss Edwina sick?? Can't be!!

So glad to hear it was just an annual checkup and you've lost a little weight. What a good girl you are to behave at the vet's. They only do what's best for you.

Would love to see more pictures of the new you, perhaps sporting a new sunhat??? Weather here is very sunny and up to 15 degrees today (I think that's about 60 deg fair).

Yeah Miz Edwina, the best thing girls our age can expect is not to gain weight To even loose a little: gorgeous!

The weight difference between Ti and Miley is similar to Tigris and Filou. Tigris very often asks Filou to play fight with him, but Filou begins to scream and run away -just like the girls on the schoolyard when the boys come to pull their braids

Edwina my boys think you are purrfect the way you are. They all weight at least 13 pounds. Sounds like your mawmee should bring home some new hats for you as a peace offering to make up for being so mean: taking you to the vet, then hiding out of town for a few days. Yes, surely a new hat or two would go a long way to help ease your suffering, sweetie.

Well done Edwina on being such a good girl for the doctor.

I agree with momoffuzzyfaces - such an auspicious occasion calls for a NEW HAT - how about a little nurses cap????

Thanks Kay for my great sig & avatar!!!

Edwina,I'm so glad that you were such a good girl at the vets and that you're healthy too. I think you deserve a nice new hat for being so good. Sallyanne, I'm also glad that Ti and Miley were good at their vet visit too and that they're also healthy.
