Both Corky and Tibby have white coat appoinments today.

Corkscrew has gotten much worse than he was at the beggining of the weekend, and this morning he sat in my lap and let me pet him which means something is wrong. Corkscrew never willinging lets me pet him. Tibby is still VERY sneezy, but she hasn't gotten at all worse over the weekend. Thankfully I was able to get them in today, they go in soon. Hopefully everything turns out ok.

Will say some extra prayers that they both get a good
checkup today. Hope this is something that can be nipped
in the bud. Hugs the little ones for me.

Both cats had a little upper respitory infection, so they both got a shot (ouch) and some antibiotics. So hopefully in a few days they will be back to normal. My visit to the vet gave me some bad news but helpful about Tibby which really explains a lot about her. I just sort of assumed she was "special" as in a little slow. SHe's a little unresponsive, she doesn't jump and she's very akward and clumsy. Well, it turns out she's partially blind. She can see but I think he said it was the retna shakes so he doesn't have the ability to focus. As soon as he told me she was partially blind everything made so much sense. It also explains why her pupils are HUGE, they never shrink like Corkscrews do. I never really thought about it before, it's kind of cute and makes her look a little cartoonish but I didn't know it was because she couldn't focus. So while it is bad news, in way it isn't because now I can understand her better and I can help her.

Sending prayers and positive thoughts that they both get over their infections soon.

Sad news about Tibby, but how wonderful that she is in such a loving and supportive home - it's the best possibe environment for her to lead a happy kittem life, despite her disability

I'm so glad it's just an URI and not anything more serious. And like you say, sad news about Tibby, but now you know why she is the way she is and you can help her with it.

I'm glad that Tibby and Corkscrew are back from the vet's and hope they are back to normal soon Sorry to hear of Tibby's vision disorder; but it's good news that you know and can help her if she needs it. It's amazing how animals just cope with what they've got and get on with life.

I hope that Corky and Tibby get well soon and that you're able to help Tibby's vision problems. At least you now know what her problem really is.

I hope Corkscrew and Tibby are better very soon. It is sad about Tibby`s eyesight but as you say it explains a lot about how she is, and now you know the whys and wherefores you can help her a lot more.
Please give them both some hugs and kisses from me....well, Tibby anyway, I hope Corkscrew won`t let you, cos then you`ll know for sure he is a lot better!

I'm knocking on wood as I say this, but thankfully, I have never had a cat get an URI before! Never! I do hope that Corky and Tibby will get through this, unscathed, and be feeling better in no time! I'm glad you got an answer on Tibby's clumsiness too. I know it helps for you to know what is wrong, even though it is a sad diagnosis. I noticed a while back that my Mimi was having some problems negotiating the jump up to her food bowl, but we decided hers is more of an age thing. She will be 14 in June. So we just helped her out by putting a chair beside the counter, so she can make two small jumps, rather than one big one.

Get better soon, Corky and Tibby!!!

Tibby seems to be doing much better with her URI, Corkscrew is still about the same. But I'm sure it will take a few more days to heal up with the antibiotics. Both cats slept all day yesterday, I think it was from the shots that they got. So hopefully the extra rest did them some good. I have now learned that when it comes to giving medicine Tibby is a nightmare!! Corkscrew is a model patient compared to Tibby. That came as a surprise seeing as how usually just being able to touch Corkscrew without him biting me is a big deal.
