I took Bandit in for his heartworm check, and asked about Rimydal. My vet said since Bandit has had some elevated liver levels that he would like to try Etogesic instead (it's just like Rimydal but only given once a day).
Has anyone else used this with their dog? Bandit is 13 and has had some troubles with his back end. He has a really hard time getting up from a laying position, and can't climb steps anymore. The vet says I should see positive results by Monday (or we'll up the dosage) and I'm just looking for some ideas of how much to expect. I don't expect Bandit to run around like a puppy, but I would really like to see him have an easier time of getting around.
Poor Bandit - he hates to go to the vet. He needs to be lifted in/out of the van (we're looking into a ramp) but this time he scooted up in between the front seats and the dash and it took about ten minutes and a couple treats to coax him out so he could be lifted out of the van.![]()
