Fluffy is getting spayed Monday the 21st

we are taking her in on Monday morning and probably won't have her back until Tuesday afternoon...they like to keep them there an extra 12 hours or longer after surgery, just to make sure she recovers well....My stomach is in knots and I am very nervous...I don't know why...she has no clue what is about to happen...i know she will be just fine but I have bad nerves I guess..oh well....she was suppose to have had it done 2 days ago but things came up, but anyway..say a little prayer for her...
I also wanted to ask about, when I bring her home, will Rocky resent her? will his attitude change or will he be able to notice something is different about her?

I know how you feel. I was really nervous when I got Hayley spayed. Everything turned out okay. I'll be nervous again when its time for Mandy to be spayed. Hayley kept licking her stitches so she had to wear an e-collar. Not all cats have to though. Hopefully Fluffy will not have to. Mandy didn't act any different when Hayley came home. She was a little afraid of the e-collar when we put it on Hayley first but she quickly got over that.

Here are some pictures of Hayley after she got spayed.

    Her shaved belly:

    Don't worry too much.

    Good Luck Fluffy!

Sending prayers your way that Fluffy will come through just fine. Speckles came to me already spayed so I'm sorry I don't have any advice for after-care. Just lots of loving.

Don't worry Fluffy, you are in good hands.

Since Nakita was my 'first' cat that I have had since I have been on my own, I was a total wreck when she went to get spayed! My S/O had to take her in because I was a weeping mess. She was so small at 4 pounds and innocent, I didn't want her to know any pain.

I'm a big softie but don't spread that around, OK???

Nakita was kept at the animal clinic overnight, but she had some terrible problems with the anaesthetic. Since I was up almost all night worrying about the complications, I was on the internet looking for answers and that's how I found Pet Talk.

Even though it was my first post here, everyone welcomed me and gave me support when I desperately needed it. That was 4 months ago and I never left. How could I leave a site that welcomed me with such warmth and friendly faces??

Come here on Monday. We've all been through it and we're good with the hand holding bit!

I just remembered one more thing. If you can, ask the vet to place something of yours (like a sweatshirt) in her cage.

Your scent will be more comforting and relaxing for Fluffy.

She wasn't able to get spayed due to her UTI but when she is off her meds, the vet will check her once more to make sure it is gone and then she will get have it done....thanks for asking though!
