    Hayley has a fat pouch!

A while ago I started a thread about fat pouches. Well Hayley has one but right now her belly is shaved so you can see it really well. When she sits down you can really notice it. I took some pictures so hopefully when I get them developed I can post one for you all to see what I am talking about. Maybe when her fur grows back you will not be able to see it again. She seems a little depressed and I thought it was because of the cone she has to wear but maybe it is because we keep laughing at her little pouch!

How long does it usually take for fur to grow back after it has been shaved off?

I missed that ...whats a fat pouch You know exactly what you need Haley? A nice digital camera. Seriously, for a simple digital camera its not really expensive .. especially if you think about all the $$ and time spent developing film. Just a suggestion!

Yes its like an extra flab of skin!

I can see a digital camera in my future. Maybe I'll buy one when I go on vacation on the 18th.

Hayley, don't worry about the cone since your in good company! Your not alone! Nakita had to wear the cone for 10 whole days because she was stubborn and kept going after the stitches.

If I remember correctly, I think Nakita's fur totally grew back after a month.

Even slim kitties like Filou (7,5 lb) can have a little pouch. It is cute and it is not very nice if laugh about it

Of course you could send her to a fitness center.

Edwina would like you to know this is NOT called a "fat pouch"! It is a "handy storage container!"

lol yeah, about the fat pouch.. I remember seeing something on tv or reading it.. I forget where I heard this but it was somewhere! lol That wild cats, you know like lions and leopards etc, have those fat pouches, because they usually have to go quite a while between meals, so when they get food they eat a whole bunch at once, and that pouch fills up. So that was passed down to our kitties today, even though they dont really need it. hehe I just dont remember where I heard that.. Im pretty sure its true though. anyhoo! just thought Id share that little factoid.

Jan's little shaved belly took almost a year to grow back

We didn't even notice at first because her highness does not take kindly to belly rubs. However, it did all grow back and she is just as beautiful as ever.

    Oh my gorgeous Nakita...
What is that thing on your neck? You don't look very happy, but it really accentuates your beautiful face.

Are you all better now Nakita??
