Some northern based GSD rescues have been pulling dogs of all ages from GA, TN and other southern states, too. There are just soooo many dogs south that need rescuing. Kinda sad.
Glad these pups are finding new homes!!

It's so true! Every week another transport of homeless pups arrives from the South to find wonderful homes in Mass. shelters and foster homes. I'm so proud of the efforts made by my state to promote education and provide low cost spay and neuter services. Education IS the key! There are very strict laws re: animal ownership here and they are enforced; and it works! It is rare that our 2 shelters here on Cape Cod ever have more than 5 or 6 dogs at any one time and it is rare that any dog is PTS unless severly ill or has severe aggression issues. If one shelter is "full," those dogs are transported to less crowded shelters throughout the state. Thanks for sharing the heartwarming story!![]()

And my Rainbow Bridge Furangels...Jingles, Cody, Fritz, Chessa, Satin, Buddy, Lizzie, Oliver, Squeaker, Moonbeam, Rosie, Ruby~
So many animals have been saved due this wonderful network. I have done many transports for All Pets Rescue (www.allpetsrescue.org) and countless dogs have been saved from certain death in shelters across Georgia and SC. Just tomorrow, I am transporting Chester and Cherish, 15 week old Bernese Mtn Dog/Lab mixes. They are currently in Georgia and will go to Massachusetts.
PS. You can see their pictures on the website under Available Dogs. They are adorable!!
Thanks, Joan, for sharing this story.![]()
