A Threat of a visit to the White-coats

For the last 4 or 5 mornings, Malone has woken us up at 5 a.m. puking. (He would puke, but nothing would come up really) This morning I got so scared that something was drastically wrong, I just started shaking & crying. It was like reality was sinking in that he really isn't OK. So I called the vets at 8, and they think that all it is is an acid stomach that is causing him to puke when his stomach is very empty. It was a peace of mind to know that it might not be anything serious!! They told us to get some Pepcid and give him one at night before bed. And if this doesn't solve it, we have an appointment for next Monday morning. So I am praying & hoping that this is all it is...we'll see!!!!

Prayers on the way that an acid stomach is all that is the matter!!

You could always get up at about 2am and make Malone a little snack!!

Oh, poor Malone! I'm so sorry to read that he has the upchucks. When I've read about this before, people usually decide to try feeding more meals per day (at least two). Perhaps you are already doing this anyway.

Give him a HUGE hug from us, please. I hope he will be feeling better soon.

    Aww Poor Malone
I hope it's nothing serious--Abbey throws up sometimes, just like what you are describing, and it's usually when she is hungry
Prayers for Malone, let us know how everything goes.

Sue, that's a great idea...I think I will put a small cupful of food upstairs tonight...and try that idea as well.

Malone usually gets 3 feedings a day, and I remembered tonight that his schedule has kinda been mixed up this week and maybe that is a factor as well.

But regardless....thank you for all the kind wishes and Malone loved all his hugs, and sends lots of waggies and slurpy kisses to each of you. We'll keep you posted!

Hope Malone feels better soon!! Stolly (RB) our Westie had this problem when we would mess up his schedule or miss a feeding. I'm sure it's nothing, but all our fingers and paws are crossed anyway!
