    Meowings Manipulated My Heart, Help!

I'm sooo stuck with two decisions here! I know I was suppose to feed kittens (11 weeks - 6 months) three 1/4 cups-a-day. But when afternoon..or early evening comes, it's not their dinner time yet.. (6am..then 1pm..then last one at 7 or 8p) But at around 5p, they mew, mew...MEW, MEW and MEOW. I couldn't ignore them because I know how it feels to be v e r y hungry, but one thing I'm worrying about is what if I feed them more than I should? (I did fed a little more..but they just still mew and mew on and on...) I feel like I'm walking on an egg! What should I do? Just tell the kittens to wait! or feed them until they're satisfied. Hope to hear from one of you soon so I'd not have to go thr this for another day, Thanks-
rest and sleep softly sweet locke..

I think you're supposed to feed young kittens as much as they want. They are growing extremely fast. You should ask your vet.

whenever a mama cat hears her kittens begin to mew, then she knows that it is time to feed them. I suggest, like the others, that you feed them as much as they want, whenever they want.

I agree. When they get to be adults, if you notice they are still eating too much and starting to gain too much weight, you can cut back then, but growing kitties need food - fuel for all their goofy antics.

Allright, I just called my vet and he said just feed as much as they want but if it starts to get overweight, I'll need to make a limitation..like wayne and TP said. Ok whew..thanks again.

I have fostered many little ones in my time and they were constantly fed like every hour. I know the sound kittens make and it is heart-wrenching. ou can't ignore the little squeaks and cries, oh dear. I was giulty of feeding mroe than I should, but the worst that happened was they just had to use the bathroom more!! Remember that a crying kitten/puppy is either cold or hungry. They dont cry when they want to play like many would think. I say fill 'em up!!
I have had Minnie since I was 4 years old!! I am 18 now, she is truly my best friend for life!! I also am a momma to 6 other beauties as well :-)
