    Precious Carl Angel!

Dearest Carl, what a beautiful German Shepherd/Retriever Angel you are, with that gorgeous brown fur and that sweet face with the lovely big dark eyes. You had the most delightful personality, and still have and always will. You're big and strong and also one of the nicest dogs ever, a real snuggler who loves children and loves to go on walks. You went to the Rainbow Bridge in June, after fifteen years with your family and friends and your Miniature Schnauzer pal Schultzy. They all love you and miss you so much. Now you are a glorious Angel, whole and healthy again there with so many other precious, loving, and beloved critters. Please send some Angelic snuggles to their hearts to reassure them that all is well, you are watching over them always and waiting to welcome them Home, and you will all be together again, One Fine Day..

Congratulations, darling Carl Angel, on being chosen Dog of the Day! We hope you and your dear Schultzy and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and precious memories and all your favorite games and treats. We know the other Angels are all rejoicing with you at the Bridge!

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

    Precious Angel Carl~

    To dear Carl's family...

I'm so, so very sorry to hear of the recent passing of your precious "gold boy," Carl. What a gorgeous golden boy he was indeed; golden not only in looks (such a beautiful, ultra plush coat), but more importantly, golden in heart; a friend to all, no matter their age or size, be they 2 or 4 legged.

Even though Carl was big and strong, he was one of the nicest dogs you'll ever meet! He loved to snuggle, and to go on long walks. He was always very social, and loved to meet new friends - whether human or other animals. He also was a self-appointed "nanny" as he loved look after children, which was so sweet. They usually loved him right away, because he was so sweet and fluffy, and patient with small hands if they tugged on his fur or ears. He loved to snuggle.

Yes, we can see by that beautiful smile, the love emanating from his warm, brown eyes, what a truly gentle soul he was. How blessed you were to have known his love, his devoted companionship those 15 wonderful years. And while he did live an amazingly long life, for us pet parents not even forever is time enough together.

The poets Keats cherished poem, Endymion, begins with the words..."A thing of beauty is a joy forever," and that describes your Carl so perfectly. He may no longer be there with you in body, but his beautiful spirit, the immeasurable joy he brought to your lives, will live on in your hearts forever and always, until that happy day when you and he are reunited. Until then, I hope seeing him being honored here today brings to you a small measure of comfort.

Thank you for sharing your beloved gold boy with us, a few of your cherished memories and that heart-melting photos; giving us the chance to pay tribute to all that he meant to you, honoring him for the VERY special, beloved family member he was and is. He truly was one in a million, a golden treasure, your Dog of a Lifetime.

And Carl, sweet golden boy...romp healthy and whole at the Rainbow Bridge with all of our beloved fur angels until that wonderful day when you and your family are together once more. And send down your love to your parents and fur sibling, dear Schultzy, too. they miss you so very much.

    Beautiful Carl~
