Hi Phillip in Germany! Happy Pet of the Day, beautiful boy!

What a happy day that was, Phillip, the day your young human's Grandpa gifted him/her you; the best present ever! How lucky she/he is, having a best friend as beautiful, as unique, as special as you, Phillip; the perfect pet indeed! And how wonderful, thanks to your species incredibly long lifespan, that you and your human have so many, many more wonderful years of shared love and companionship to look forward to! And now, you having awakened from your long winter's nap, no doubt you're out in your garden, soaking up the sunshine and fresh air, exploring your world, spending special time with your human! Ahhh! Life is good!

Dearest Phillip, what a gorgeous Tortoise you are, so beautiful with yourt coloring and the design patterns of your shell and body. And what a sweet face you have with those big eyes looking right up at me and that mouth in what looks like it might be a smile, and probably is! You are 48 years old, and your dear person inherited you from his/her grandpa. He/she likes you because you're easy to care for and you don't make a mess. In summer you live in your house in the garden, and in winter you hibernate in a cage in the family basement. You and he/she love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!
